HID Inviting Bids for Newman Bypass

Notice is hereby given that Hermiston Irrigation District, Oregon, invites bids for the construction of the Newman Bypass. The work for this project involves the cast in place concrete inlet and outlet structures with a 28-day comprehensive at 4500 psi, steel reinforcement, and the excavation, placement and cover 500’ of 36” HDPE Pipe.

The District will provide the 36” HDPE Pipe, link seals, and headgate, all of which are on-site.

Work to be completed on the project as shown on the Engineered Drawings and Specifications provided.

Bids for the described project will be received by Annette Kirkpatrick, District Manager of Hermiston Irrigation District, at 366 E Hurlburt Ave, Hermiston, OR 97838 or electronically at Bids@HermistonID.org, until 5:00 p.m. local time on March 15, 2021.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Hermiston Irrigation District office at 366 E. Hurlburt Ave, Hermiston, Oregon beginning at 5:00 p.m. on the same date that bids are due. Attendance by virtual option will be available in order to comply with COVID-19 requirements of the State of Oregon.

Copies of the design plans and specifications can be obtained by contacting District Manager Kirkpatrick at Manager@HermistonID.org and requesting a copy, call the HID office at 541-567-3024 and request a copy, or from the Hermiston Plan Center, Hermiston, Oregon.

Work can begin immediately and the Project shall be substantially complete by April 15, 2021.  The contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law and 2 C.F.R § 200.317-326. This work will be inspected by the Bureau of Reclamation and an engineer for the BOR will be on-site during portions of the work period. This work is necessary as a result of the 2019/2020 flood events within Umatilla County and is being completed under FEMA Disaster Relief Declaration DR4452-OR and DR4519-OR.
